Product information (Abbott)
A soy-based, lactose-free infant formula with iron providing 20 Cal per fl oz. Abbott describes it as nutritionally complete.
Intended use & age guidance
Per Abbott: for fussiness and gas; for families choosing a lactose-free formula as a first feeding or as a supplement to breastfeeding; a plant protein-based option for vegetarian families; and a lactose-free feeding for disorders where lactose should be avoided, including lactase deficiency, lactose intolerance and galactosemia.
Infant formula. Not recommended for premature infants with birth weights less than 1800 g. Feeding decisions should be guided by the baby's doctor.

Ingredients & allergens
Powder: Corn Syrup Solids (39%), Soy Protein Isolate (15%), High Oleic Safflower Oil (11%), Sugar (10%), Soy Oil (8%), Coconut Oil (8%). Less than 2% of: Schizochytrium Sp. Oil (source of DHA), M. Alpina Oil (source of ARA), Beta-Carotene, Lutein, Short-chain Fructooligosaccharides (prebiotic), vitamins, minerals, L-Methionine, Taurine, L-Carnitine and Mixed Tocopherols. Preparation
- Follow directions carefully; proper hygiene, handling and storage matter. Ask the baby's doctor whether to use cooled, boiled water and whether to sterilise bottles, nipples and rings.
- Wash hands, surfaces and utensils. Pour water into a clean bottle.
- Add 1 unpacked level scoop (8.8 g) for each 2 fl oz of water. Return the dry scoop to the can.
- Cap, shake well and attach a nipple. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.
- A 12.4 oz container makes approximately 90 fl oz of formula when mixed as directed.
Storage & handling
- Once mixed, refrigerate bottles and feed within 24 hours.
- Store the container, opened or unopened, at room temperature; avoid extreme temperatures.
- Use opened container contents within 1 month. Do not reuse the container.
Precautions
- Never use a microwave oven to warm formula. Serious burns can result.
- Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to premature infants or infants who might have immune problems unless directed and supervised by the baby's doctor.
- Soy formulas are not recommended for premature infants with birth weights less than 1800 g.
