Product information (Abbott)
A nutritionally complete, amino acid-based (hypoallergenic) powder infant formula with iron, with DHA and ARA. For oral or tube feeding; use under medical supervision.
Intended use & age guidance
For infants who cannot tolerate intact or hydrolyzed protein. Indicated for the dietary management of protein maldigestion, malabsorption, food allergies, short-bowel syndrome, eosinophilic GI disorders, GI-tract impairment, or other conditions requiring an amino acid-based diet.
For infants 0 to 12 months of age. Use under medical supervision.

Preparation
- Follow directions carefully; proper hygiene, handling and storage matter. Ask the baby's doctor whether to use cooled, boiled water and whether to sterilise bottles, nipples and rings.
- Wash hands, surfaces and utensils. Pour water into a clean bottle.
- Add 1 unpacked level scoop (follow the scoop instructions on the can) for each 2 fl oz of water. Return the dry scoop to the container.
- Cap, shake well and attach a clean nipple. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.
Storage & handling
- Once mixed, refrigerate bottles and feed within 24 hours.
- Store the container, opened or unopened, at room temperature; avoid extreme temperatures.
- Use opened container contents within 1 month.
Precautions
- Use under medical supervision.
- Never use a microwave oven to warm formula. Serious burns can result.
- Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to premature infants or infants who might have immune problems unless directed and supervised by the baby's doctor.
